Want to create some serious clouds? The type of e-liquid you choose for your ecigs will make a difference to the size of the clouds you can make!
More PG – More throat hit
More VG – More vapour
The ratio of PG to VG will make a big difference to amount of vapour produced, this is case whether you’re using a CE5 or a sub ohm clearomiser.
To create the biggest most impressive clouds, choose an e-liquid with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio, or slightly higher VG. E-liquids with a higher percentage of PG can be quite harsh on the throat, and also don’t produce a lot of vapour, so bear this is mind when choosing your next e-liquid if you want to impress with huge clouds!
E-liquid strength is also an important consideration. When you produce more vapour (and bigger clouds), the nicotine is upped. Therefore, it’s best to adjust your nicotine accordingly in strength to compensate. Some e-liquids come in 0.3% nicotine for this exact reason.
As far as technique goes, in order to get lots more vapour, you’ll need enough airflow to cool the coil helping your clouds to condense. It’s important to make sure you’re inhaling hard to get enough vapour, even if your airflow setting is set at maximum.
If you don’t inhale hard enough, or if you’re not quick in doing so, then there won’t be enough air cool the coil. When the coil heats up, the vapour can get uncomfortably hot, which really isn’t pleasant. Although it seems
It may seem nonsensical, the harder you inhale, the less harsh the vape will be. It can be tricky coming around to this thinking, especially for beginners, but once you’ve got used to it you’ll be creating huge clouds in no time!
Just to add - there isn’t a wrong or right way to vape, it’s all personal preference and you don’t need to produce humungous, billowing clouds of vapour to enjoy vaping. Experiment, enjoy and have fun!
